Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Promptly. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Promptly.
Who can use Promptly
You must be at least 18 years old. One account per person, and the details you give must be true. You're responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your password to yourself.
Zero tolerance for abuse
Don't send, generate, or ask the AI to make anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
- is sexual or nude, or sexualises anyone; anything involving minors in this way is reported to the authorities;
- shows or encourages violence, self-harm, or cruelty;
- is hateful toward people for who they are;
- impersonates someone, or shares someone's private information or images without their permission;
- is spam, a scam, or illegal, or helps someone break the law;
- infringes someone else's rights, including copyright.
Don't try to get around Promptly's limits or safety features, use bots or automation, or break, overload or attack the service.
Keeping each other safe
- Report a message or a person from the message's long-press menu or their profile. We review reports and act on them, normally within 24 hours, by removing content and suspending or deleting accounts that break these terms.
- Block someone to stop them messaging you. It ends your friendship, and in groups their messages are hidden from you.
- In Friendly chats and groups, images and photos stay hidden until you choose to show them, and AI images are limited to plain styles.
- Anyone with a group's invite link can join that group. Only share links with people you'd want in it; admins can reset or turn off a link at any time.
Your content
You own what you send. You give Promptly a limited permission to store, process and deliver it to the people you send it to, and to make AI images from the text you ask for, only to run the app. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies kept with a report or briefly in backups.
You're responsible for what you send. Only send photos and voice notes you have the right to share.
AI images
Images are generated by AI from your text. They can be inaccurate or unexpected, and a safety check may turn a request down. The same rules apply to what you ask for as to anything else you send. There's a daily limit on how many images each person can make.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time (Me > Delete account). We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
The service
Promptly is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it running and secure, but can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that messages are never lost. We may change or stop features. To the extent the law allows, Promptly isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content other people send you.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Using Promptly after a change means you accept it.
